The
vision of Belmont Church is to LIVE passionately with Jesus,
WALK in community, and SERVE to advance God's kingdom.
In
a culture of movers and shakers, where a person's worth is
often measured by his or her accomplishments, we recognize
that there's morefar moreto one's calling than
accomplishments and works of any kind, even good works that
advance the kingdom of God.
At
Belmont, we're committed, passionately so, to bringing
the gospel to the lost. That facet of our
vision, however, flows from the core of our values. It is
a commitment rising from the foundation of our intimate relationship
with Jesus, as well as our corporate membership to His body.
Foremost,
we aspire to nurture
relationship, to help others find and develop
an intimacy with God that will enable them to live passionately
with Jesus.
In
a similar light, we recognize that, by God's design, we are
one body, connected to each otherthat we need each other.
It
is through these foundational relationships that we move,
in unison and as individuals, to impact others for Jesus Christ,
advancing His kingdom to the glory of our Father God.
You
can see, then, that relationship and community are central
to the vision of Belmont Church. Our primary
objective is to minister to people, not conduct
meetings, administer programs, build buildings, or build others
according to secular standards.
Committed
to people, on the sole merit that they are created and loved
by God, we nurture growth and facilitate spiritual equipping.
And as leaders develop, accomplishments happen. God's kingdom
is advanced at Belmont Church and through Belmont Church. |
