MARK and MARILZE McPHERSON (USA/Brazil) – We dream of:
• Building a permanent building for our church in Centenario Tocantins to replace our thatched covered structure
• Building a larger structure to accommodate our congregation in Anapolis so that people do not have to stand outside
• Sending evangelism teams to unreached areas of Brazil and then Bolivia and Paraguay as well
Biography
With a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Free Will Baptist College, Mark McPherson worked as a college professor. After learning Portuguese, he moved to Brazil to minister to unreached people groups and plant churches. There he met his wife, Marlize. Together they networked with pastors, established biblical training institutes, and ministered to the local people. Now back in Nashville, Marlize works as a nurse at Vanderbilt and Mark has resumed his education. Though they now live in the States, they continue to support and direct churches that have now been handed over to local leadership.
